Please follow all directions regarding storage bags and containers. The salads will be assembled prior to the meals.
Bring all ingredients labeled for Lifelight to the Family Life Center Kitchen on August 29 before 5 p.m
Flying Farmer Salad
16 oz pkg of Bow Tie Noodles
Cook according to package instructions, drain cooking water, toss noodles with a sprinkle of salad oil and seal in a zip lock storage bag
Dressing
2 cups Miracle Whip
1 - 20 oz. can Chunk Pineapple, drained
1 - 15 oz. Mandarin Oranges, drained
2 cups green or red seedless grapes, halved
1 cup chopped celery
1 Tbsp. chopped onions
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. celery salt
1 Tbsp. olive oil
Mix dressing ingredients and place in a disposable container.
Chinese Cabbage Salad
1 bag of cabbage slaw
5 green onions
Slice the green onions and seal in a small zip lock storage bag
1 pkg. Ramen Noodle
Crush the noodles and seal in a zip lock storage bag. These will be added just prior to serving. Keep the soup packet for use in the dressing.
1/2 cup slivered almonds
Seal in a zip lock storage bag also. These will also be added just before serving.
Dressing
1/2 cup salad oil
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. vinegar
Soup packet from Ramen Noodle package
Combine the above dressing ingredients including the soup packet and mix until well blended. Keep in a separate disposable container. The dressing will be mixed with the other ingredients just before serving.
